79-year-old landlord who killed tenant he could not evict arrested
In the Torbalı district of İzmir, a landlord who shot and killed his tenant, who did not want to move out of the house, has been arrested by the court.
The incident occurred yesterday in the Ayrancılar neighborhood of Torbalı district. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out between the landlord, H.İ.U. (79), and his tenant, Ahmet Alkan (29).
As the incident escalated, the landlord shot his tenant with a handgun. Upon notification by those nearby, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Alkan, who was heavily wounded, lost his life at the hospital to which he was taken.
CAUGHT IN WOODED AREA
Determining that H.İ.U., who had fled the scene, was in a wooded area in the Demirci neighborhood, gendarmerie teams captured the individual in an operation they organized.
It was learned that the suspect, who was taken into custody and brought to the police station, said he shot his tenant because he did not want to move out of the house.
The murder suspect landlord was arrested by the court he was brought before following his procedures at the gendarmerie.
