9 foreign women apprehended in prostitution operation at a massage parlor in Hatay; business owner released
In a prostitution operation conducted at a massage parlor in Hatay, 9 foreign women were found hiding in a secret compartment concealed behind a closet. While a total of 114,940 TL in administrative fines were imposed on the suspects, the release of the business owner under judicial control drew attention.
Teams from the Hatay Provincial Police Department conducted inspections at SPA and massage parlors operating in the Dörtyol district as part of efforts to ensure general public safety, maintain public order, and combat prostitution. During the checks, 9 foreign women who did not have work permits and were determined to have been directed into prostitution were identified and detained in a secret section of a business.
While a total of 114,940 TL in administrative fines were imposed on the individuals, 256,700 TL, which was assessed to have been obtained from the crime, was confiscated.
BUSINESS OWNER RELEASED
The business owner, A.K., was released under judicial control conditions by the judicial authorities to whom he was referred on allegations of "encouraging, mediating, or forcing prostitution."
