A tragic incident resulting in loss of life occurred at approximately 10:39 at the entrance of the North Ring Road in the Kömürcüler neighborhood of Antalya's Döşemealtı district. The passenger bus with license plate 26 ABG 022, which was traveling from Tekirdağ to Antalya with 34 passengers and crew on board, overturned as it approached the multi-level junction after the driver lost steering control due to heavy fog and slippery road conditions.

The bus, which skidded along the road for a while, crashed through the barriers and rolled into a ravine approximately 15 meters deep. Upon reports that passengers were trapped inside and under the vehicle, AFAD, gendarmerie, police, fire department, and numerous medical teams were dispatched to the area. The teams extracted the injured from the vehicle during rescue operations and transported them to nearby hospitals after initial interventions.

9 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES, 25 INJURED

According to initial information received from authorities, 9 people lost their lives in the incident, while 25 others were injured. Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin also arrived at the scene to conduct inspections and received information from the teams regarding the ongoing efforts.
