90-minute transfer and Halk Taşıt era ends on İZBAN
The 90-minute transfer and Halk Taşıt (Public Vehicle) practices on İZBAN have ended. İzmirim Kart will continue to be used, but passengers will no longer be able to benefit from these rights.
During the final August council meeting of the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, a change was made to İZBAN, which holds an important place in urban transportation. In the session held under the chairmanship of Deputy Mayor Dr. Zafer Levent Yıldır, it was decided to abolish the 90-minute transfer and Halk Taşıt practice on İZBAN, which operates with a 50 percent partnership with TCDD.
According to the new regulation, the use of İzmirim Kart will continue, but passengers will no longer be able to benefit from the 90-minute transfer right and Halk Taşıt advantages. Existing practices on the city's other public transportation vehicles will remain exactly as they are.
