A first in 74 years for CHP Chairman Özgür Özel: Survey results point the way

Details of the survey conducted by SONAR Research in July with a total of 3,271 people across 24 provinces have been obtained.

According to the report by Altan Sancar from Gerçek Gündem, CHP leader Özel's job approval rating, which was 39.5 percent in June, rose to 39.6 percent in July. The rate of those who do not approve of his performance fell from 41 percent to 40.6 percent.

The rate of undecided voters was 11.5 percent, while the rate of those with no opinion or no answer was 8.3 percent.

The survey included the statement that for Özel, "he is the first CHP chairman to be approved by nearly half of the voters in 74 years, since 1950."

ERDOĞAN'S JOB APPROVAL RATING FELL

A decline in the job approval rating of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan drew attention in the research results.

Erdoğan's job approval rating, which was 43.4 in June, fell to 41.1 in July. The rate of those who do not approve rose from 44.6 percent to 45 percent.

The rate of undecided voters was 9.3 percent, while it was noted that this rate was 6.2 percent last month.

THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THE ECONOMY

According to the research, Turkey's most important problem is the economy. The rate of the economy being the most important problem, which was 55.5 percent in June, rose to 60.8 percent in July.

The economy was followed by refugees at 6.6 percent, injustice at 6.3 percent, and terrorism at 3.2 percent. The rate of those who said Turkey has no problems was 1.5 percent.

To the question of whether the Turkish economy will get better or worse in the next six months, 67.5 percent of participants answered that it would get worse. The rate of those who said the economy would get better was 18.7 percent, those who said it would remain the same was 7.1 percent, and those who did not answer was 6.6 percent.

72.3 percent of those who participated in the survey stated that they experienced a decline in their financial situation in the last year, 8.7 percent experienced an improvement, and 17.9 percent said it remained the same. The rate of those who did not answer was 1.1 percent.
