Absentee funeral prayer held for Yahya Sinwar
In Erzurum, an absentee funeral prayer was held for Yahya Sinwar, one of the prominent leaders of Hamas who was martyred by Israel.
In the 49th week of the silent marches that health workers have been holding since the day Israeli attacks began, physicians and health workers continued their protests against terror, genocide, and occupation following an absentee funeral prayer.
Family Physician Dr. Ahmet Kar, in his speech there, said, "Living under occupation is death; resisting the enemy is life," and added, "We congratulate the martyrdom of Hamas leader and brave commander Yahya Sinwar, who chose life, vitality, and an honorable and dignified resistance rather than death, and who was martyred while defending babies, children, women, the elderly, and helpless men upon whom bombs were raining down on the front lines. We salute the honorable resistance of the Hamas mujahideen, who have repeatedly given their leaders as martyrs for the cause of Islam. We believe that the scenes of Yahya Sinwar being martyred at the age of 62 while bravely waging jihad as a leader on the front lines will, with God's permission, be a source of inspiration for the Ummah, reviving, renewing, and strengthening the spirit of resistance against oppressors on every front."

Stating, "We are trying to remember. Because if we abandon Gaza to be forgotten and to be left to oblivion, we will have turned our backs on ourselves, on our essence that makes us human, and betrayed our hearts," Dr. Ahmet Kar continued, "We are feeling. Turning our eyes away from all that is happening would mean closing our hearts to the living and life-giving spirit of the Palestinian believers. We are contemplating. In these difficult days that we are experiencing as the world of humanity, we realize that contemplation is one of the paths that brings us closer to the depths of stories, opens doors for us to see the lessons and warnings in the events that have occurred, and teaches us to live with a heart that reasons. We believe. We believe in that promised day when, while living on a tiny world drifting in its orbit among billions of galaxies within an endless universe, the time of the mountains, seas, and the sky will suddenly be fulfilled and they will be shattered. We wait with fear and hope; on that day, everyone will see the reward of their efforts."
Following the absentee funeral prayer, a letter from Sheikh Ahmed Yassin was read by Family Physician Dr. İbrahim Fatih Doğan.
The program concluded after a prayer by teacher Muhammet Şevket Gökşan following the protest march.
