Accident on the Anatolian Motorway: 5 injured
Five people were injured in an accident involving two vehicles on the Bolu-Düzce provincial border of the Anatolian Motorway.
In an accident that occurred on the Bolu-Düzce provincial border of the Anatolian Motorway, a commercial vehicle traveling in the direction of Istanbul collided with a car near the Kaynaşlı location. Five people in the vehicles were injured in the accident.
OTHER DRIVERS HELPED THE INJURED
The situation was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Other drivers who witnessed the horrific accident on the motorway pulled their vehicles over to the emergency lane to assist the injured. The helpful drivers took the injured into their own vehicles until medical teams arrived at the scene. Health, police, gendarmerie, and fire department teams were dispatched to the area.
DRIVER TRAPPED IN VEHICLE
The injured drivers, Halil E. and Muhammet C., along with passengers Hanife E., Mustafa E., and Hanım C., were taken to hospitals in Düzce by ambulance. Ulaş Çarboğa, who took the injured citizens into his vehicle, said, "There were 3 people in the vehicle in front. We got them out. We took them into our vehicle. We checked the other vehicle, and the driver was trapped inside. We helped to get him out."
Long queues of vehicles formed in the area due to the accident. Traffic returned to normal in the region after the vehicles involved in the accident were removed from the road.
