Adana Metropolitan Mayor Zeydan Karalar announced that he was stranded on the road due to snowfall while traveling to Ankara. Stating that flights were also canceled, Karalar said, "We are waiting for the General Directorate of Highways to clear the road."

Adana Metropolitan Mayor Zeydan Karalar set out to attend the November 24 event in Ankara upon the call of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.

FLIGHTS CANCELED

Setting out at 06:30 in the morning, Karalar was forced to choose the highway due to flight cancellations at Çukurova Airport.

Expressing his dissatisfaction with the frequent flight cancellations at the airport, Karalar said, “They were kind enough to build Çukurova Airport in such a beautiful location. There are no flights with the slightest bit of wind. Cancellations are happening constantly.”

Karalar stated the following:

"We have been on the road since 6:30 with my wife for the November 24 event we will hold in Ankara upon the invitation of our Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel. Our planes are not operating. They were kind enough to build the airport in such a beautiful location. There are no flights with the slightest bit of wind. Since there are constant flight cancellations, we decided to go by car. We have been on the road for exactly 2 hours. The road is closed. We are waiting for the General Directorate of Highways to clear the road. Hopefully, we will make it, but it looks very difficult."
