Turkey experienced a major catastrophe on February 6, 2023. The consecutive earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş caused massive destruction across 11 provinces. 

Efforts are continuing rapidly for the structures that were destroyed or damaged in the earthquake. However, a major earthquake has also been expected for the megacity of Istanbul for a long time.

DETERMINED BASED ON SOIL LIQUEFACTION RISK

While experts continue to issue warnings for Istanbul, the most high-risk districts in the event of the expected major earthquake have been shared.
