Airstrike by the Ministry of National Defense in northern Iraq
The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that 15 targets identified as being used by terrorists were destroyed in an airstrike carried out in the Hakurk region of northern Iraq.
According to the statement made by the Ministry of National Defense, an airstrike was carried out at 19:30 in the Hakurk region of northern Iraq in accordance with the right of self-defense arising from Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, in order to neutralize PKK/KCK and other terrorist elements and to eliminate terrorist attacks against Turkey from northern Iraq.
In the airstrike, 15 targets consisting of caves, bunkers, depots, and shelters used by the separatist terrorist organization, which were assessed to contain terrorists at the leadership level, were destroyed.
The statement noted that the Turkish Armed Forces will continue to fight with determination and resolve until not a single terrorist remains, while emphasizing that every measure has been taken to ensure that civilians, friendly elements, historical and cultural structures, and the environment are not harmed.
