In Antalya, on April 30…
In a statement on his social media account, Gürlek said the following:
"Under the leadership of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in line with our vision of “making the Century of Turkey the Century of Justice,” another murder was solved LAST NIGHT through the will we have demonstrated as the Ministries of Justice and Interior against cold cases.
The murder suspects of our child Kübra Yapıcı, who went missing in Antalya on the night of April 30, were apprehended swiftly thanks to the strong coordination of our Chief Public Prosecutor's offices in Manavgat, Serik, and Burdur, and our police and gendarmerie organizations.
In this process, where our state mobilized all its resources, contradictory statements were deciphered through rapid reaction, effective technical surveillance, and inter-institutional cooperation; the location where the murder was committed and the evidence were uncovered one by one, and the perpetrators were caught in different provinces and delivered to justice.
I would like to thank our Chief Public Prosecutor's offices in Manavgat, Serik, and Burdur for their meticulous investigation; our police and gendarmerie organizations who worked with great devotion; and our Information and Communication Technologies Authority, which made a significant contribution to the course of the investigation by promptly sharing HTS-base data.
We will continue to work shoulder to shoulder in coordination as justice and security organizations to ensure that no crime goes unpunished and that no file is left in the dark as a cold case.
I offer my condolences to the grieving father who maintained his composure while tracking his child in this painful incident, and I congratulate all our judicial and security personnel who work day and night for the establishment of justice."
