Akın Gürlek shares documents regarding Özgür Özel's asset claims! He reveals the number of properties registered to his name

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's allegations regarding the assets of Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek have sparked public debate. Following the allegations, Gürlek announced that the number of properties registered in his name is 4 and shared documents regarding this.

RESPONSE TO ASSET CLAIMS

Claiming that the title deed documents shared by Özgür Özel are fake, Gürlek argued that the allegations in question were intended to overshadow the IMM (Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality) case. Gürlek made the following statements on the subject:

"I mean, those documents are definitely fake and fabricated documents. There are four properties registered in my name. I mean, I don't know about the others. It's a lie. He supposedly gave some ID numbers or something, but does Akın Gürlek's name appear on those ID numbers? It does not.

So, Özgür Özel's goal here is to cover up the trial of the century's corruption; that is his first goal. His second goal, I am telling him this as well."

NEW ALLEGATION FROM GÜRLEK

In his statement, Gürlek also brought up a new allegation regarding Özel:

“As you know, there is a trial in the Muhittin Böcek case. Muhittin Böcek stops by a gas station in the province of Manisa on January 15, 2024. Why does he stop by this gas station? Of course, there was a situation where Muhittin Böcek could become a whistleblower.

As you know, there is a money allegation regarding his candidacy to Özgür Özel there. There are some base station studies on this matter. These were revealed in some of these base station studies.

These are also in the file. I think Özgür Özel wants to cover up two points. First, the trial of the century's corruption, and second, the allegation that Muhittin Böcek went to a Manisa gas station on January 15, 2024, to give money for his own candidacy."

Gürlek stated that the allegations in question were supported by base station records and noted that Muhittin Böcek could make a statement regarding the process. Expressing that the allegations regarding Özel's candidacy process should also be taken into account, Gürlek stated that they would initiate legal proceedings on this matter.

"THE DOCUMENTS ARE FAKE: THESE ARE VERY SIMPLE THINGS"

Continuing his statement, Gürlek reiterated that the documents shared by Özel did not reflect the truth and used the following expressions:

"Now look, I looked at it too, he is presenting sample documents, title deed documents. Well, these are all unreal. Fake documents. I mean, fake ones are revealed immediately anyway, and we have already filed a non-pecuniary damages lawsuit. Here, the court will write to the land registry office to see if it is real or not. These are very simple things. I mean, there is no need to explain this much, no need to do anything, but as I said, these are completely Özgür Özel's last-minute struggles. I leave this to the discretion of the Great Turkish Nation."
