AKOM announces: When will the weather warm up?
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) reported in its precipitation and storm report that temperatures, which had dropped to 10-13 degrees, will rise starting tomorrow and reach 25 degrees throughout the week.
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) reported that 10 to 35 kilograms of precipitation per square meter fell in different parts of the city, with the highest rainfall observed in Arnavutköy, Çatalca, and Şile.
In AKOM's precipitation and storm report, it was stated that the Marmara Region, especially Istanbul, is under the influence of cold and rainy weather.
The report provided the following information: "As a result of the precipitation seen across the province since the early morning hours, 10 to 35 kilograms of rainfall per square meter have been recorded in different regions of Istanbul, with the highest rainfall observed in our Arnavutköy, Çatalca, and Şile districts."
The report stated that the precipitation is expected to be locally strong, accompanied by winds blowing in the form of storms until the evening, and then leave the region. It was also noted that temperatures, which have currently dropped to 10-13 degrees, are expected to rise again starting tomorrow and reach around 25 degrees, returning to summer values throughout the new week.
The report noted that IMM teams, standing by for potential negative incidents due to heavy downpours, rain, and storms, have been conducting intervention efforts in line with reports received from across the province with 3,272 personnel and 1,693 vehicles and construction equipment, and that no significant negative incidents have occurred.
