AKP deputy had criticized: New details emerge about lawyer Duman, who made headlines with his posts

It has emerged that lawyer Cem Duman, who made headlines with his posts featuring photos of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, was a parliamentary candidate nominee for the AKP in the 2023 General Elections.

AKP Secretary General and İzmir Deputy Eyyüp Kadir İnan had issued the following warning regarding the posts in question:

"Recently, it has been observed that some individuals are trying to impress the public by decorating their offices with ostentatious decor, using the photo of our Chairman and President as a display ornament among gold-leaf tables and red throne-like chairs.

Let us state clearly that this photo is not a piece of decor for an office. It is certainly not a tool for exploitation! That photo is a symbol of a cause, a struggle, and the great prices paid on the path of serving the nation.

Those who use the memory of our President as a tool for their personal advertising will never find support in the eyes of the public. We will not only fight these exploiters at an individual level, but we will also engage in a separate struggle as a party. Because for us, this cause is not one of office ornaments, but the cause of those who share the nation's troubles and work day and night."

HE WAS A CANDIDATE NOMINEE FROM THE AKP

According to the report in Halktv, 14 suspects, including 2 lawyers who were assessed to be acting in concert with criminal organization leader Selahattin Yılmaz, were detained yesterday in an operation conducted within the scope of an investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

It was learned that lawyer Cem Duran, who turned out to be one of the two detained lawyers, was a candidate nominee from the AKP.

Duran, whom AKP Secretary General Eyyüp Kadir İnan described as an exploiter of Erdoğan, had been an AKP parliamentary candidate nominee for Erzurum in the 2023 General Elections.
