'AKP deputy refuses to vacate office'
It has been alleged that an AKP deputy, who was dismissed after being appointed as a deputy minister, continues to use their office at the ministry as a private workspace.
Gazete Pencere columnist Nuray Babacan's article titled 'The meeting that made Erdoğan cry: Tears and the Fire case' has been published. Babacan claimed that an AKP deputy, who was previously appointed as a deputy minister, continues to use their office at the ministry even after being removed from the position.
The relevant section of Babacan's article is as follows:
“We occasionally provide examples of the black holes regarding the 'austerity and waste' issue that the government constantly talks about. Here is another interesting incident;
A former AKP deputy, who was appointed as a deputy minister some time ago, is dismissed. New appointments are made and months pass. However, the former deputy, who has no official duty, continues to use the ministry as an 'office' together with their private secretary in a quite large room allocated to them at the ministry. Bureaucrats who ask them to vacate the room are having quite a hard time. Because the former deputy is pulling every string they can within the party. They are still using the room. It's like a joke…”
