AKP lawmakers complain about bureaucrats: 'We can meet with ministers more easily'
AKP lawmakers state that they are experiencing communication problems with bureaucrats. Noting that it has become almost impossible to meet with general managers, the lawmakers express that there are delays in resolving citizens' problems.
Some AKP lawmakers have conveyed their complaints to the party leadership, stating that they are having difficulty establishing healthy communication with bureaucrats. According to reports from the corridors, lawmakers state that they are facing serious obstacles in making contact, particularly with ministries and general directorates in some provinces.
According to the report by the pro-government newspaper Türkiye, lawmakers who brought these issues to the agenda at the headquarters in closed sessions expressed their dissatisfaction by saying, “We can meet with ministers more easily, but we are having trouble meeting with the general managers, who are the ones behind the scenes and the actual implementers. Bureaucrats cannot be reached, there are disruptions in solving citizens' problems, and the process of resolving grievances is being prolonged.”
According to the allegations, some bureaucrats either do not want to meet with lawmakers at all or keep the conversations as short as possible when they do meet. The bureaucracy side, for its part, responds to these criticisms by citing their heavy workload.
