AKP member who gave an 'Oscar-worthy' performance in Kocaeli referred to disciplinary board

In the İzmit district of Kocaeli, teams from the AKP-run metropolitan municipality and the CHP-run district municipality came face to face.

Following allegations that the AKP-run Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality teams were preventing CHP-run İzmit Municipality workers from entering the area, İzmit Mayor Fatma Kaplan Hürriyet went to the scene.

After Hürriyet arrived in the area, İbrahim Efe, an AKP council member for the İzmit Municipality, was also present at the scene.

When someone pushed İbrahim Efe to keep him away from the mayor as he criticized Mayor Hürriyet and her team while they walked along the road, Efe threw himself to the ground and began to roll around. At one point, İbrahim Efe got up from the ground, only to throw himself down again, shouting, "Help, police, they are beating me."
