AKP official loses life after being struck by a car

The accident occurred in the Bangraz locality of the Yumrutaş neighborhood in the Acıpayam district. According to the information obtained, Abdurrahman Ak, a member of the AK Party Serik District Board of Directors who had set out for a business visit to Denizli, stopped in the Bangraz locality of the Acıpayam district. After getting out of his vehicle, Abdurrahman Ak was struck by a car, the license plate of which is not yet known, while he was attempting to cross the road. Citizens in the vicinity reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the notification, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the area.

Following the checks performed by the medical teams that arrived at the scene, it was determined that Abdurrahman Ak had lost his life. His body was taken to the forensic medicine morgue for an autopsy. It was learned that his body would be transported to Antalya following the autopsy.

AK Party Serik District Chairman Ahmet Söker published a condolence message for Abdurrahman Ak in a post on his social media account. Chairman Söker stated, "I have learned with deep sadness of the passing of our District Board Member, our precious brother, and our fellow traveler, Abdurrahman Ak, as a result of a tragic traffic accident. The loss of our brother Abdurrahman, whom we will always remember for his sincerity and his heart-centered humanity, is a great pain for us. I wish God's mercy upon the deceased and patience and condolences to his family, his loved ones, and our organization."

An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
