Cold shower for Turgut Altınok from an AKP tradesman! 'You will face a defeat on the morning of April 1st'

Turgut Altınok, the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) mayoral candidate for the People's Alliance formed by the AKP and MHP, continues his local election campaign.

An AKP-supporting citizen who attended a meeting organized by Altınok voiced criticisms toward him.

The citizen, who took the floor after Altınok and stated that he used to work as a minibus driver and is currently working as a shepherd, expressed his reaction by saying, "If Mansur Yavaş is being talked about in Ankara today, you are the reason."

The AKP-supporting citizen said the following;

“Mr. Chairman. I come here from Yenikent; I am a minibus tradesman. I work as a shepherd there. While I was coming from there, our head called and said, “Party members are coming.” I am an AKP supporter. I paid 1.5 Lira in daily wages to a shepherd to come here from there. I left the place to the shepherd. I came here. I am the least educated and least cultured person here. I am speaking in a language you can understand. You talk about people coming down from the mountains; I am the one who came down from that mountain.

Before what you tell the tradesmen here, we need jobs, we need bread, we need money. Now, we need to get a full result in your favor here. How are we going to do this? We need to have a debate, not an argument.

If Mansur Yavaş is being talked about in Ankara today, if Mansur Yavaş’s mayorship is being talked about, the reason for this is the ministers, deputies, and provincial chairs of the Justice and Development Party. If you ask why, many of your ministers, many of your deputies, and many of your provincial chairs made promises. None of them kept the promises they made. The promises made regarding minibus driving were not kept. That is why we are talking about Mansur Yavaş in Ankara today.”

‘YOU NEED TO TURN THIS AROUND IN YOUR FAVOR…’

At one point during the speech, Altınok told the tradesman, “It would be better if you wrap it up.”

The tradesman replied, “I will wrap it up,” adding, “I know what you are going to talk about. I also know what these people will ask you.”

Altınok responded to the tradesman’s words by saying, “Isn't there anyone else who knows, let others speak too.”

Upon this remark, the citizen stated, “Mr. Chairman, you need to turn this around in your favor. Otherwise, we will say you are nice and pleasant, but you will face a defeat on the morning of April 1st. That is why you need to turn this place around in your favor.”

'WE CANNOT LISTEN TO YOU FOR 20 MINUTES...'

The citizen, who expressed his troubles and the difficulties he is experiencing in a sincere manner, was told, "We cannot listen to you for 20 minutes..."
