AKP's Şamil Tayyar reminds the government of trustee appointments and asks about Ahmet Türk: 'The wise person the state considers credible'

In a statement regarding Ahmet Türk, who is part of the 'Imralı delegation,' Tayyar said, "If he is a wise person whom the state considers credible, why did we appoint a trustee?"

Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan, who met with terrorist organization PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan in Imralı, held meetings with Parliament Speaker Kurtulmuş and MHP Chairman Bahçeli as part of their visits. 

Former Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Ahmet Türk, who was replaced by a government-appointed trustee, also took part in the delegation referred to as the 'Imralı delegation.'

TRUSTEE REMINDER

Evaluating the inclusion of Ahmet Türk in the delegation and the trustee appointed to replace him, former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar said in a statement on his social media account, "Isn't there something strange about this?"

Tayyar's statement is as follows:

"We appointed a trustee to the DEM-run Mardin Municipality. We terminated Ahmet Türk's mayoral duties due to his alleged ties to terrorism. The same Türk has now become a wise person and a key figure in the traffic for the resolution of the terror issue. He is circulating at the highest levels of the state, and all doors are opening for him. Isn't there something strange about this?

If he is a wise person whom the state considers credible, why did we appoint a trustee? If there is a terror-related link that necessitates the appointment of a trustee, how did he become a wise person?

We have never seen anyone win in the long run when acting based on the conjuncture rather than principles, and we will not see it from now on either. Let us provide a reminder."
