Akşener: A wolf survives the winter, but it never forgets the frost it endured; I won't forget either

IYI Party Chair Meral Akşener, regarding the events in her Istanbul and Ankara organizations, said, "A wolf survives the winter, but it never forgets the frost it endured. God is my witness, I swear by God, I will not forget either. Do good, receive evil. No good can come from such a system now."

Asking for support for IYI Party's Afyonkarahisar mayoral candidate Alper Yağcı, Akşener shopped from the market tradespeople.

Attending an iftar program organized by her party after the tradesperson visit, Akşener said in her speech that they founded the IYI Party by the order of the nation and to make the nation's voice heard.

Explaining that they decided to listen to the nation's voice and conduct opposition accordingly, Akşener said, "We entered the local elections free and independent. I am asking for your votes for my brother Alper Yağcı. We, as IYI Party members, are a political party that contributed to and helped in the winning of municipalities such as Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya, and Adana."

"IT NEVER FORGETS THE FROST IT ENDURED"

Akşener stated that when Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek contracted COVID-19, there were demands to replace him, and she opposed this.

Touching upon how saddened she was by what happened in her party's Istanbul and Ankara organizations, Akşener continued:

"A wolf survives the winter, but it never forgets the frost it endured. God is my witness, I swear by God, I will not forget either. Do good, receive evil. No good can come from such a system now. Therefore, my IYI Party brothers and sisters, these are new experiences for us. If you trust people and make sacrifices for them, only to see political immorality in return, you must mark that down."
