Alarming fire at a hotel in Esenyurt! Many citizens trapped

A fire that broke out in the laundry room of a hotel in Esenyurt caused panic during the night hours. Citizens who were trapped inside due to heavy smoke were rescued through the efforts of fire crews.

The incident occurred around 02:30 at a hotel located on Fatih Street in the Güzelyurt neighborhood. The fire, which started for reasons yet to be determined in the laundry room on the second basement floor of the hotel, quickly filled the building with heavy smoke.

As citizens staying at the hotel were trapped inside due to the smoke, police, medical, and numerous fire crews were dispatched to the address following reports from those in the vicinity.

With the intervention of the fire crews, citizens trapped on the roof and other floors were evacuated using ladder trucks. One person affected by the smoke received outpatient treatment at the scene.

The flames were completely brought under control and extinguished following cooling efforts. While there were no casualties or injuries in the incident, an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
