Alarming statement from Ahmet Ercan regarding a possible Istanbul earthquake! 'Istanbulites are the living dead'

Geophysicist Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ercan stated in a post on his social media account, "The crowding of 3,500 people per square kilometer in Istanbul and its suffocation with dense, high-rise buildings is a crime committed against the city. My beautiful Istanbul has been destroyed using the 'there will be an earthquake' mantra. Istanbulites are now the living dead."

Alarming statement from Ahmet Ercan regarding a possible Istanbul earthquake! 'Istanbulites are the living dead'

Recent consecutive earthquakes in the Sea of Marmara have brought the possibility of a major Istanbul earthquake to the agenda.

Geophysicist Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ercan made an alarming post on the subject on his X (Twitter) account.

"The crowding of 3,500 people per square kilometer in Istanbul and its suffocation with dense, high-rise buildings is a crime committed against the city," Ercan said, adding, "My beautiful Istanbul has been destroyed using the 'there will be an earthquake' mantra. Istanbulites are now the living dead."

HE HAD GIVEN A DATE

Finally, Prof. Dr. Övgün Ahmet Ercan, who had also provided a date regarding the expected major Istanbul earthquake, stated the following:

"We do not call tremors smaller than 4 earthquakes, but rather micro-earthquakes. These micro-earthquakes pose no danger other than providing scientific data. They are not the footsteps of the expected major Istanbul earthquake either. Therefore, before an earthquake occurs in the North Marmara, we will see earthquakes of magnitude 5, 5.5, and 6, which are even larger than these. As I have been saying since 1999, I do not expect a major earthquake in Istanbul before 2045."
