Ali Babacan: Sinan Ateş's daughter does not want to let her mother go out

DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan participated in a live broadcast on Tele 1 TV. During the program, Babacan stated that the young daughter of Ayşe Ateş, the wife of former Idealist Hearths (Ülkü Ocakları) President Sinan Ateş—who was killed in an assassination in Ankara—does not want to let her mother go out due to the fear that she will be killed.

Stating that such things should not happen in a state governed by the rule of law, Babacan said:

At least let me be by your side, if we are to die, let us die together..."' Can you imagine? I mean, this is something a little girl is experiencing with her mother. It is not enough that they lost their father; they are also afraid of losing their mother and they fear for their own safety. Can such a thing happen in a state governed by the rule of law? Can such a state of law exist?

Someone is constantly following me. What kind of business is this? I mean, there is terrible pressure on the family.
