Alliance message from YRP leader Fatih Erbakan

Yeniden Refah Party (YRP) Chairman Fatih Erbakan evaluated the remarkable remarks made by Future Party leader Ahmet Davutoğlu in an interview with a newspaper. Davutoğlu's words, "We are like separate branches of the same river. We would certainly like to meet with Yeniden Refah one day," brought the possibility of a new alliance to the political agenda.

Making a statement on the subject, Fatih Erbakan emphasized that they are not completely closed to cooperation for parliamentary elections. "We are not completely closing our doors to alliances for the parliamentary election. We believe that some partnerships could be possible in order to create a stronger alternative, generate synergy, and act together with parties that appeal to the conservative right-wing electorate. However, no meetings have been held on this matter so far," he said, indicating that no contact has taken place regarding the process.

Speaking at an "NGO Meetings" event held at a hotel in Haymana, Erbakan included the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza on his agenda. Summarizing the situation with the words, "Today, Muslims in Gaza are forced to eat sea turtles due to hunger. This is a great disgrace for the two-billion-strong Islamic world," Erbakan stated that this painful picture is not limited to Gaza alone, and that there are oppressed people suffering persecution all over the world.

"OUR RESOURCES ARE POWER, AS LONG AS THERE IS UNITY"

Erbakan expressed the need for Muslim countries to act together with the following words:

"Two-thirds of the world's oil, 55 percent of its natural gas, half of its water resources, and 40 percent of its uranium are in the hands of Muslim countries. If these countries act together and use these resources as a strategic power of sanction, the oppressors will be forced to come to the table."

OPEN DOOR TO ALLIANCES: "WE WILL EVALUATE IF THERE IS A MEETING"

Continuing his statements regarding the possibility of an alliance, Fatih Erbakan emphasized that the election process is still in its early stages. "There is still time until the election. Therefore, there has been no proposal or initiative as of now. However, if such a formation comes to the agenda in the coming process, we will evaluate it. We are not closing our doors completely," he said, signaling that they are open to possible meetings.
