A statement has been issued by the Governor's Office regarding the cold weather and snowfall that have been effective in Ankara since 9:00 PM last night. The statement, made via social media accounts, noted that frost and icing incidents have occurred in many places along with snow-covered roads.

As of 9:00 PM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, heavy snowfall has been effective throughout our province, and as a result of the rapid drop in air temperatures, frost and icing incidents have occurred in many areas of our province along with snow-covered roads.

The statement, which indicated that relevant institutions are on alert, included the following expressions:
"It is of great importance that our citizens do not go out into traffic unless it is an emergency or absolutely necessary, and that they act according to traffic signs and warnings. Furthermore, it is critically important for the safe travel of our citizens to be careful and take precautions by complying with the 'winter tire regulation' and keeping equipment such as winter tires and chains in vehicles. To ensure our citizens do not experience any grievances, efforts to combat snowfall and adverse weather conditions will continue uninterrupted in every field in cooperation with our relevant institutions."
