It has been reported that 209 people have been detained in operations conducted by security forces in Ankara following the declaration of a city-wide ban on demonstrations. While it was stated that the total number of people for whom detention warrants were issued is 241, it was noted that the majority of these individuals are currently in police custody.

It was learned that among those detained is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emel Memiş, a faculty member in the Department of Economics at Ankara University's Faculty of Political Sciences.
