Another drill from North Korea: 18 ballistic missiles launched

North Korea has added another to its series of military drills. According to a report by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), 18 short-range ballistic missiles were launched toward an island target 365 kilometers away in the Sea of Japan (East Sea) during yesterday's drill, which was overseen by Kim.

The report stated that the drill, which utilized 600-millimeter short-range multiple rocket launcher systems, was "an opportunity to demonstrate what the consequences of the provocations by North Korea's rivals would be."

In a statement made yesterday by the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff, it was reported that North Korea had launched 10 short-range ballistic missiles toward the Sea of Japan (East Sea).

The statement noted that no damage was reported following the impact of the missiles and that the developments had been shared with the US and Japan.
