Another hike in paid military service fee

Following the clarification of the July salary increase for civil servants, the new amount to be applied to the paid military service fee has also been determined.

As the paid military service fee was recalculated in line with the increase in the civil servant salary coefficient, the amounts to be paid by those who are draft evaders or have failed to report for duty have also been updated.

PAID MILITARY SERVICE FEE EXCEEDS 472 THOUSAND LIRA

With the update, the paid military service fee has been increased from 416 thousand 361 Turkish Lira and 30 kurus to 472 thousand 653 Turkish Lira and 34 kurus.

Thus, the new amount to be paid by conscripts wishing to benefit from paid military service has been set at 472 thousand 653 Turkish Lira and 34 kurus.

AMOUNT TO BE PAID BY DRAFT EVADERS AND THOSE WHO FAILED TO REPORT FOR DUTY ALSO INCREASED

Within the scope of the new regulation, the payment amount to be applied to conscripts who are draft evaders or have failed to report for duty has also risen.

Accordingly, the aforementioned fee has been increased from 4 thousand 857 Turkish Lira and 55 kurus to 5 thousand 541 Turkish Lira and 29 kurus.

INCREASE CALCULATED ALONGSIDE CIVIL SERVANT SALARY HIKE

The increase in the paid military service fee was calculated based on the rate of the raise given to civil servant salaries.

The paid military service fee, which is redetermined in every period according to the change in the civil servant salary coefficient, was updated following the July salary regulation.

MSB'S ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE TAKEN AS BASIS

In the official implementation regarding the paid military service fee, the announcement to be made by the Ministry of National Defense (MSB) will be taken as the basis.

The updated paid military service fee and the new payment amounts to be applied to draft evaders and those who have failed to report for duty will be valid between July 1, 2026, and December 31, 2026.
