Appointments to certain senior management positions at the Ministry of Health

According to the decisions published with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Muhammet Mermer, the Çanakkale Provincial Director of the Ministry of Family and Social Services, and Hasan Tahsin Yıldırım, the Çankırı Provincial Director, were dismissed, and new directors were appointed to 21 provinces.

While Mehmet Akif Akçalı and Hasan Korkmaz were appointed to the vacant labor inspector positions at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Buğra Yıldırım was appointed as a member of the board of directors of the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR).

At the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Deputy General Manager of Cultural Heritage and Museums Seyit Ahmet Arslan, Deputy General Manager of Promotion Cengiz Aydın, and Deputy General Manager of Personnel Erdal Aydın were dismissed, while Abdi Dölek was appointed as the Tokat Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism. Within the aforementioned Ministry, 16 appointments were also made to various positions.

Tokat Provincial Director of National Education Ahmet Özdemir and Ardahan Provincial Director of National Education Erhan Bulut were dismissed, while Hüseyin Kır was appointed as the new provincial director of national education for Tokat, and Yusuf Uzantı for Ardahan.

APPOINTMENTS TO CERTAIN SENIOR MANAGEMENT POSITIONS AT THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH

Changes were also made by President Erdoğan to the positions of some senior managers at the Ministry of Health.

Accordingly, Deputy Minister Tolga Tolunay, General Manager of Health Information Systems Şali Yıldırım, General Manager of Legal Services İlhan Hatiboğlu, General Manager of Management Services Celal Şahin, Head of the Inspection Board Davut Eker, and Deputy General Manager of Health Investments Dursun Uyar were dismissed.

President Erdoğan appointed Halim Özçevik to the position of Deputy Minister of Health.

In addition, Hasan Basri Velioğlu was appointed as the General Manager of Health Services, Mustafa Mahir Ülgü as the General Manager of Health Information Systems, Ülker Kuğu as the General Manager of Legal Services, İsmail Öztürk as the General Manager of Management Services, and Erkan Hacıhafızoğlu as the Head of the Inspection Board.

YÖK MEMBERSHIP AND NEW RECTOR APPOINTMENTS TO CERTAIN UNIVERSITIES

President Erdoğan appointed Prof. Dr. Metin Topcuoğlu, who was selected by the Interuniversity Council, as a member of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Fuat Erdal was appointed as Rector of Anadolu University, Prof. Dr. Erdal Çelik as Rector of Bingöl University, Prof. Dr. Bayram Yılmaz as Rector of Dokuz Eylül University, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran as Rector of Hacettepe University, Prof. Dr. Semih Aytekin as Rector of Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yılmaz as Rector of Selçuk University, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Necmettin Atsü as Rector of Istanbul Kent University, Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Komsuoğlu Çıtıpıtıoğlu as Rector of Istanbul Nişantaşı University, Prof. Dr. Emin Karip as Rector of Mudanya University, Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Yülek as Rector of Ostim Technical University, and Prof. Dr. Barış Tan as Rector of Özyeğin University.
