Armed attack at the courthouse entrance in Karaman

In front of the entrance to the Karaman Courthouse located in the Hamidiye neighborhood, M.G. and C.V., who were alleged to have a long-standing feud, encountered each other at approximately 16:45.

At that moment, C.V. drew a weapon from his waistband and fired at M.G. While the bullet grazed M.G.'s leg, police officers stationed at the courthouse immediately intervened in the incident.

INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED

While a potential murder was prevented by the police intervention, the assailant C.V. was apprehended and taken into custody. The wounded M.G. was taken to the Karaman Training and Research Hospital by an ambulance called to the scene and is currently receiving treatment.

It was learned that the wounded individual is in good condition. C.V., who was taken into custody at the police station, was transported to the police department by police teams. The crime scene investigation team also conducted a search for empty shell casings in front of the courthouse entrance where the incident occurred.

An investigation into the incident has been launched.
