In the Söke district of Aydın, journalist Durmuş Tuna was injured as a result of an armed attack. The incident occurred while Tuna was walking on the street following an event. According to allegations, while Tuna was chatting with someone on the sidewalk, he was shot by Yeniden Refah Party Aydın Provincial Chair Hüseyin Kaya, who approached him from behind. Tuna, who was wounded in the leg by the fire opened by Kaya, fell to the ground. The teams that arrived at the scene in a short time provided initial intervention and then transported Durmuş Tuna to Söke Fehime-Faik Kocagöz State Hospital. It was learned that in his initial statement to the police, Tuna said the attack was linked to some reports he had published in the past. Hüseyin Kaya, who fled after the incident, was caught and taken into custody by Söke Police Department teams on the same day.
