Arrest requests for 6 suspects regarding the mining disaster in İliç
Eight suspects, including the company's Canadian executive, who were detained in connection with the landslide at a mine in the İliç district of Erzincan, have been referred to the courthouse.
The investigation initiated by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the landslide at the mine in İliç continues.
In this context, the procedures at the gendarmerie have been completed for the Canadian national J.R.G., who worked in a managerial and administrative position at the company operating the gold mine, as well as for A.C., H.Ü., M.B., Ş.D., S.D., M.T., and A.R.K.

Following health checks, the suspects were taken to the İliç Courthouse.
Of the suspects whose statements were taken at the public prosecutor's office, 6, including J.R.G., were referred to the judgeship with a request for their arrest, while 2 were referred with a request for judicial control measures to be applied.
The proceedings for these individuals at the criminal judgeship of peace are ongoing.
