Arrest warrants issued for those making provocative posts regarding martyrs

Arrest warrants issued for those making provocative posts regarding martyrs

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that 59 suspects have been identified for making "provocative" social media posts regarding the martyrs in the Operation Claw-Lock region, which praise the separatist terrorist organization, engage in propaganda, and publicly disseminate misleading information. Stating that 49 of the suspects are abroad, Tunç announced that 3 of the 10 suspects have been apprehended.

In a statement on his X (Twitter) account, Tunç noted the following:

"Within the scope of investigations conducted into account managers and users who made 'provocative' social media posts praising the separatist terrorist organization, engaging in its propaganda, and publicly disseminating misleading information regarding our heroic soldiers martyred in the Operation Claw-Lock region, 59 suspects have been identified, and it has been determined that 49 of them are abroad.

Of the 10 suspects identified in our provinces of Istanbul, Ankara, Adana, Diyarbakır, Denizli, Van, and Batman, 3 have been apprehended and detention and arrest warrants have been issued for them, while efforts to apprehend the remaining 7 suspects are ongoing."

 

Stating that proceedings have been initiated against the 49 suspects abroad, Tunç reported that the Public Prosecutor's Offices are meticulously continuing the necessary investigations into those who make criminal posts on social media.
