As the Bursa high-speed train line nears completion, travel times are shortening

Work on the Bandırma – Bursa – Yenişehir – Osmaneli High-Speed Train Line Project, centered in Bursa, has been largely completed. Once this line becomes operational, Bursa will be able to establish connections with major transportation hubs more quickly. With the commissioning of the project, Bursa's integration with major cities such as Ankara, Istanbul, Eskişehir, Konya, and Sivas will be ensured, and travel times will decrease significantly.

Preparations for the activation of the electrical infrastructure are expected to be completed in the coming months, with test drives projected to begin as of July. Following the infrastructure and testing phases, the line is planned to be opened for use by the end of the year.

Within the scope of the project, there will be a major reduction in travel times. With the new route, the travel time between Ankara–Bursa and Istanbul–Bursa will drop to 2 hours and 15 minutes, while the journey between Bursa–Eskişehir will take only 1 hour. With the gradual commissioning of the line, both intercity travel will become easier and significant economic and social contributions will be provided.
