Atatürk's historic portrait to be exhibited at Anıtkabir on November 10

Events and commemoration programs will be held across Turkey for the 86th anniversary of the passing of the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and a commemoration program will also be held at Anıtkabir.

In a new development, it has been announced that the original historic portrait of Atatürk, which appears on the first pages of textbooks and on school walls, will meet its visitors at Anıtkabir on November 10, Atatürk Commemoration Day. The statement regarding the matter came from the Ministry of National Education.

WILL BE OPEN TO VISITORS UNTIL NOVEMBER 24

According to the statement, the "Original Atatürk Portrait Exhibition" will be open to visitors for 15 days, from November 10, Atatürk Commemoration Day and Atatürk Week, until November 24, Teachers' Day.

IT HOLDS A SPECIAL VALUE FOR THE EDUCATION COMMUNITY

The portrait, created by painter Şeref Sonel using a watercolor coloring technique over a photograph of Atatürk, holds a special value for the education community as it has been featured on classroom walls and the first pages of textbooks since that time.

On the other hand, the historic Atatürk portrait was included in the inventory of the Ministry of National Education this year.
