Attack on TKP members at Ankara University

On the Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences campus, a group of 25-30 people known to be members of the Ülkü Ocakları set an ambush after an exam and attempted to attack members of the Communist Party of Turkey. TKP members sustained minor injuries in the incident, which also drew reactions from citizens in the vicinity. 

Following the attack, referencing university students who lost their lives due to elevator-related deaths in KYK dormitories, financial hardship, and various forms of oppression, it was stated: “We will not surrender our beloved country or our school to fascists, reactionaries, and collaborators!"

"AN ATTACK WAS CARRIED OUT BY A FASCIST GANG"

The full statement is as follows: 

"A second attack has been carried out in a short time by a fascist gang against our friends who continue their work campus by campus for the equal, free, and independent future of our country. 

While our friends are losing their lives in elevator-related deaths in KYK dormitories and our fellow students are ending their lives in these dorms, the sole reason for this gang's attacks is an attempt to stop the struggle being waged against this student- and people-hating order.

We warn the fascist gangs who carried out the attack at the Ankara University Cebeci Campus!

We will not surrender our beloved country or our school to fascists, reactionaries, and collaborators!"
