Attacker who opened fire at a high school in Şanlıurfa commits suicide: 16 people injured
An armed attack took place at a high school in the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa. Şanlıurfa Governor Hasan Şıldak reported that 16 people were injured and the attacker committed suicide.
It is alleged that a student carried out an armed attack at the Ahmet Koyuncu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, located in the Hasan Çelebi neighborhood of Şanlıurfa's Siverek district. While it was claimed that some students were injured in the incident, medical teams, police, and special operations units were dispatched to the area following the report.
While it was claimed that the attacker inside the school had taken some students hostage, it was stated that the majority of the students were evacuated through the intervention of security forces.

In his statement, Şanlıurfa Governor Hasan Şıldak stated that 16 people were injured and that the attacker was a former student of the school. Şıldak announced that the attacker committed suicide with his own weapon.
Şıldak reported that the attacker was a former student of the school and was born in 2007.
