Attention Istanbul! Time set for the storm

Consecutive warnings issued for Istanbul have put citizens on alert due to the expectation of heavy rain and a storm in the evening hours. Following the General Directorate of Meteorology, the Ministry of Interior and the Istanbul Governor's Office also announced that caution should be exercised against the adverse weather conditions expected to affect the city.

CRITICAL STATEMENT FROM THE ISTANBUL GOVERNOR'S OFFICE

In the statement made by the Istanbul Governor's Office, it was stated that heavy rainfall is expected to begin on the European side starting from the afternoon hours and to be effective throughout the entire province, especially around the Bosphorus, during the evening and night hours. It was stated that adverse events such as flash floods, inundations, lightning, hail, and strong winds could occur.

The Governor's Office called on citizens to be cautious against these adverse weather conditions. In the call, which stated "Be cautious, act carefully," it was emphasized that one should stay away from risky areas.

NEW WARNING FROM THE MINISTRY OF INTERIOR

The Ministry of Interior also issued a similar warning, cautioning citizens that the downpours in Istanbul could lead to flash floods. The Ministry stated that one should be careful against weather conditions that are prone to sudden changes, especially in the evening hours, and that the warnings of the authorized bodies should be followed.
