Attention those bringing phones from abroad! Unregistered usage period extended to 180 days!
Through a process available via e-Devlet, citizens residing abroad will be able to use the phones they bring to Turkey without registration for 180 days.
The e-Devlet platform has launched a new system that allows citizens living abroad to use the phones they bring to Turkey for 180 days without registration.
According to a report by Webtekno, a decision made last year made it possible for citizens residing abroad to use the phones they brought with them without registration for a certain period. According to the announcement made by the Presidential Digital Transformation Office, this service is now accessible via e-Devlet.
Previously, citizens arriving from abroad could use their phones for 120 days without any action. The government decided that this period needed to be increased and extended the usage period to 180 days. This extension can be carried out through the e-Devlet Gateway in two 30-day periods.
The statement made by the Digital Transformation Office is as follows:
"Our citizens who reside abroad and bring a mobile device with them can extend their 120-day unregistered device usage period to up to 180 days, twice for 30-day periods, via the e-Devlet Gateway."
