The Istanbul Governor's Office has announced that the wind, which will be effective in the city starting tomorrow morning, is expected to blow as a storm in some places.
In a statement made on the X account of the Istanbul Governor's Office, it was reported that according to information received from the Meteorology Department, the wind in Istanbul is expected to blow from the south, starting tomorrow morning, as strong winds and occasionally as a storm (40-70 kilometers/hour).
STORM EFFECT TO INCREASE ON SUNDAY
The Governor's Office's post also included the statement from the Meteorology 1st Regional Directorate Istanbul Regional Forecast and Early Warning Center.
The center's statement noted that the wind, which is expected to blow as a storm in some places across the region tomorrow, will increase in intensity starting from the early hours of Sunday morning, and is expected to blow from the west and northwest as a strong storm (70-90 kilometers/hour) and occasionally as a full storm (100 kilometers/hour and above).
The statement warned citizens to be careful and take precautions against potential negative consequences such as roof dislodgement, trees and poles falling, the risk of poisoning from stove and chimney gases, and disruptions in transportation.
