Author Ayten Öztürk stabbed to death
52-year-old author Ayten Öztürk, who had come to the village of Küçükyayla in the Vize district of Kırklareli for a Eid al-Adha visit, lost her life after being stabbed by her nephew following an argument. The suspect, who allegedly fled the scene after the incident, was apprehended by gendarmerie teams and taken into custody.
According to the information obtained, 52-year-old Ayten Öztürk had come to the village of Küçükyayla to visit her family for the Eid al-Adha holiday. It was learned that while Öztürk was in the garden of their house with her mother and aunt, an argument broke out between her and her nephew for reasons yet unknown.
Allegedly, during the incident, which escalated quickly, Ayten Öztürk was severely wounded with a knife. Upon the notification of citizens in the vicinity, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.

Upon examination by the medical teams, it was determined that Ayten Öztürk had lost her life at the scene.
Following the incident, the District Gendarmerie Command teams launched an operation to apprehend her nephew, B.S., who had fled the area. As a result of the search efforts, the suspect was caught in a wooded area near the village and taken into custody.

Ayten Öztürk's body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy to clarify the cause of death.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
