Aziz İhsan Aktaş found to have a criminal record for 'sexual harassment'!

It has emerged that Aziz İhsan Aktaş, who acted as a whistleblower in the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against Ekrem İmamoğlu and caused the arrest of 6 CHP mayors, was sentenced to a judicial fine of 1500 TL on February 2, 2023, for sexually harassing a businesswoman in Ankara.

DETAILS OF THE HARASSMENT INCLUDED IN THE VERDICT

According to the exclusive report by Alican Uludağ, the court ruling stated that Aktaş approached a woman of Azerbaijani nationality who was smoking in front of a hotel and said, "We want to relieve stress today, we need to relax, is there room in the hotel?" and "Will you come to my room, we can have coffee?"

ALLEGATIONS OF PRESSURE TO DROP THE COMPLAINT

During the trial process, it was recorded that Aktaş sent the general manager of his company to the victim to pressure her to drop her complaint. The victim's lawyer friend, who witnessed the situation, stated that the general manager said, "The defendants receive government tenders and would suffer material and moral damage due to the incident subject to the lawsuit."

The victim, G.N., stated, "This incident has become a matter of honor for me; I will not drop my complaint."

AKTAŞ DENIED THE ACCUSATIONS

In his defense before the court, Aziz İhsan Aktaş denied the allegations, saying, "We were smoking in front of the hotel. I noticed her looking at us. Thinking she was a hotel employee, I asked if she worked at the hotel. She said no. We had no other conversation besides that."

SENTENCE ENTERED INTO CRIMINAL RECORD

While the court's decision has become final, it was learned that the 1500 TL judicial fine was entered into Aziz İhsan Aktaş's criminal record.
