Bahçeli did not mention Özgür Özel by name... A statement came from Feti Yıldız

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli did not mention Özgür Özel's name in his statement regarding the assassination attempt against CHP leader Özgür Özel. Bahçeli, who was showered with criticism, also received criticism from CHP leader Özgür Özel himself.

Özel said, "Not mentioning the name of a party's chairman is disrespectful to all members and founders of that party. The party whose name you do not mention was named by Atatürk. They asked about its first congress, he said the Sivas Congress. Whose name are you not mentioning? Personally, I did not deserve this." 

Following these remarks by Özel, a statement on the matter came from MHP Deputy Chairman in charge of Legal and Election Affairs, Feti Yıldız. 

Making a statement via his social media account, Yıldız used the following expressions: 

“Our leader frequently uses metaphorical elements and makes abstract concepts concrete to strengthen his expression, thus creating an influence that transcends national borders. Due to the language and style he uses, our leader Devlet Bahçeli is the most powerful narrator of national culture. Our civilization, which has humanity at its center, has two fundamental characteristics: justice and compassion. These characteristics have gained depth within the framework of the relationship established with our language and values, and have reached these days in unity and solidarity. Thank God.”
