First message from Bahçeli in days: 'We are on the threshold of a blessed era'

Releasing a statement via his social media account, Devlet Bahçeli gave a message regarding the arrival of the month of Ramadan. In his message, Bahçeli noted that Turkey is 'on the threshold of a blessed era.'

Bahçeli's statement came after the call to lay down arms made yesterday by terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan. Emphasizing peace and brotherhood in his statement, the MHP leader said that the 'season to get rid of the epidemic of lies and gossip' has arrived.

Emphasizing his hopes for an end to disputes and polarization, Bahçeli used the following expressions in his post on his X account:

''We are realizing and completing, both as a nation and as the Turkish-Islamic world, the happiness of reaching the blessed month of Ramadan, the sultan of eleven months, the altar of peace and abundance, the downpour of mercy and forgiveness.

The month of Ramadan is the wall of solidarity, the consciousness of cooperation, and the light of unity, stability, and brotherhood.

The season of purification from sins, protection from devilish desires, and getting rid of the epidemic of lies and gossip has, thank God, arrived.

How happy we are that we are on the threshold of a blessed era in which fake discrimination, artificial disputes, polarization, and misunderstandings will be completely uprooted and cast out of our national life.

I wholeheartedly believe that we will do justice to our fasting with the prayers and worship we will perform and carry out together from suhoor to iftar.

I especially wish that we know how to live to the fullest, as if drinking deeply, the spiritual beauties of the month of Ramadan and its rewards full of guidance and wisdom within the boundaries of peace and togetherness, without giving opportunity to evil eyes, hollow words, and crippled intentions.

My only wish is for my country to be surrounded from head to toe by tranquility, ease, and brotherhood under the guidance of righteous deeds and pure, genuine morality.

I sincerely congratulate our dear nation and the Turkish-Islamic world on the month of Ramadan; I pray to Almighty Allah that we meet in prayers and that our fasting worship is accepted.

ÖCALAN HAD THANKED BAHÇELİ

The DEM Party Imralı delegation read the 'call to lay down arms' by PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan at a press conference held in Istanbul yesterday. In his statement, Öcalan thanked Bahçeli for his efforts.

In the statement read by Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Öcalan noted the following regarding Bahçeli:

''The sprout is stronger than the stump. We went to green the hope of peace. We went with the will to give together, with the Turk and the Kurd. We will green this hope. Our existence has been spent for this cause. It will be like this from now on as well. Until this country turns into a rose garden. We thank all the names who contributed; the honorable President, the honorable Bahçeli, the honorable Özgür Özel. We are at a breaking point in history, but a breaking point in a positive sense. We came with a compass for a positive exit from the current chaotic environment...
