Sharp response to Bahçeli's DEM Party remarks: 'Cut the salaries of the deputies and transfer them to the families of martyrs'

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli said that the salaries of 57 DEM Party deputies and the Treasury aid to the party should be cut.

In a written statement, Bahçeli expressed that these funds should be transferred to the families of martyrs.

'THE ANNUAL COST OF THE DEPUTIES TO THE TREASURY IS 116 MILLION 280 THOUSAND LIRA'

Stating that "The fight against terror(ism) is the sum of holistic and multidimensional mechanisms that require the mobilization of national power elements within a concept; it is also the result of variable and dynamic processes that have political, strategic, economic, security, psychological, and diplomatic aspects," the MHP leader made the following remarks:

"The DEM, which is a militia element of the PKK, has 57 deputies in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

The annual cost of these deputies to the state treasury is 116 million 280 thousand lira.

Furthermore, the annual salary received from the treasury by the 171 parliamentary advisors of the DEM is 133 million 380 thousand lira, the annual salary burden of the 10 group advisors is 8 million 400 thousand lira, and the annual salary received by the 30 office staff is 23 million 400 thousand lira.

Even more grave is that the amount of aid the DEM received from the treasury in 2024 is approximately 658 million lira.

'THE RIGHTS OF 76 THOUSAND OF OUR RETIREES ARE BEING GRANTED TO THE TERRORIST ORGANIZATION'

In this context, the total monetary amount that the DEM, a focus of terror and separatism, will receive in 2024 from the state it is hostile to is approximately 940 million lira.

Considering that the lowest pension is 12 thousand 500 lira, the rights of nearly 76 thousand of our retirees are being granted to the terrorist organization as if it were money for bullets, weapons, and bombs."

Recalling the four proposals he made in his speech on December 26, 2023, Bahçeli stated that the salaries of the 57 DEM Party deputies and the Treasury aid to the party should be cut, and requested that these funds be transferred to the families of martyrs.

Bahçeli continued as follows:

"The fair-weather opportunists, insidious opportunists, the 'DEM-ed' CHP, and its marginal backups who distort and exploit our retirees and economic developments have no answer to these cautionary facts.

The immediate cutting of our Treasury resources, which are transferred to separatists and indirectly to terrorists, and the weeding out of the ticks that betray the state and the nation is an unavoidable necessity and obligation.

Nowhere in the world has a network that plots against its country while securing its livelihood and future through that country been permitted, and it will not be permitted from now on.

The time has come to observe justice, morality, fairness, and the rights of the people, and the aforementioned historical duty has been entrusted to the honor of the will of the noble children of the nation.

The Nationalist Movement Party, together with the People's Alliance, is capable of shouldering this duty.

While commemorating our noble martyrs with mercy and our veterans with respect, it will be infinitely beneficial for everyone to know that their honor of struggle will never be overshadowed."

SHARP RESPONSE FROM DEM PARTY TO BAHÇELİ

MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli made statements regarding the current agenda. The response to Bahçeli, who made harsh criticisms of the DEM Party and TİP deputy Ahmet Şık, did not take long from the DEM Party.

This person and his party, who are representatives of a coup-plotting mentality that would suggest closing the Constitutional Court and suspending the constitutional order, operate like a center for the mafia, dark and organized crime, all immoral and illegal practices, and murder networks.

We remind this person that our party has received millions of votes in this country, has broken the monstrous election threshold that has been maintained for years, has overcome every kind of obstacle placed in its way, and has entered parliament with the support of the people despite arrests, attacks, and all kinds of lawlessness.

This country is not anyone's father's farm. He is not the owner of this country, and we are not its tenants. We are also the owners of this country. Bahçeli and the deep-state sycophants who advise him should come to their senses.

The social peace you are targeting with this dangerous game is at stake. Your concern is not love for the country, but power, seats, rent, and profit. This decrepit mentality of yours will serve no purpose other than turning Turkey into a place of fire. All of the rights our party has earned are the taxes and sweat of the millions who voted for it. We are the voice of the millions who want democracy and peace in this country. No one can silence our party with street bullying. We did not bow down to the murder networks of the 90s, and we will not back down to today's fake challenges!"
