"I asked my trusted sources within the Trump administration about the details of the Erdoğan-Trump meeting. I am sharing what I was told:

1. Trump was very angry at Erdoğan's statement on Fox News that 'Trump could not end the wars in Gaza and Ukraine' and conveyed his anger to Erdoğan. Upon this, the Communications Directorate hastily published a correction and said that Erdoğan appreciated Trump's efforts and that his words had 'lost their meaning during translation.'

2. The most concrete result from the meeting is the Halkbank issue. Turkey will pay a fine close to 100 million dollars but will not accept the crimes attributed to it.

3. Trump asked Erdoğan not to buy the oil he receives from Russia.

4. The Turkish side sees that it is almost impossible to buy F-35s. Because to buy F-35s, the NDAA needs to be changed. For this reason, Erdoğan is asking Trump to lift CAATSA, so that the path for defense cooperation between the two countries will be opened.

5. During the meeting, the 2 billion dollars that Russia sent to Turkey for Akkuyu but which is held in American banks was also brought to the agenda. Turkey wants this money to be given to it.

6. There is a consensus between the parties regarding Syria.
