MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, who received the DEM Party delegation that met with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı, met with AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at his home on Türkmenbeyi Street.
The closed-door meeting lasted approximately 35 minutes. Erdoğan congratulated Bahçeli, who turned 77 on January 1, on his birthday.
According to a report by the Türkiye newspaper, known for its proximity to the government, the agenda of the two figures, who held their first meeting of 2025, was a 'Terror-Free Turkey'.
At the Erdoğan-Bahçeli summit, the visits of the DEM Party İmralı delegation to the Turkish Grand National Assembly were discussed.
Steps to be taken and a roadmap in line with the 'Terror-Free Turkey' goal were addressed, and formulas such as the right to hope and house arrest for terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan were reviewed.
