It was stated that the attack took place while they were entering the apartment with a key obtained from a shopkeeper in the building, and that during the struggle, one of the police officers' weapons fell into the hands of the attacker. It was noted that the suspect fired at the wounded police officers and then went out into the street and fired randomly at the surroundings.

Saymaz also reported that it is being evaluated that the attacker was trying to give himself the appearance of an ISIS member, that cables were found on him at the hospital, and that wall writings were detected during the investigation conducted at the house.

I called my sources in Tekirdağ.

24-year-old Orhan Altan, who lives in Istanbul and is stated to be a schizophrenia patient, came to Çorlu some time ago and rented a room on the third floor of a business center in Gölcük Square, Kumyol Street, Reşadiye Neighborhood.

His family, having found the trail of Altan, who was under a guardianship order and being sought as a missing person, asked the police for help.

Tütüncüler and Koç went to the address where Altan was staying on May 17. The two police officers, who were wearing plain clothes so that Altan would not get scared and run away, knocked on the door; Altan did not open it.

The two police officers chatted with the shopkeeper on the ground floor.

The shopkeeper said, 'I have the key to the house.'

The police took the key and went up to the house where Altan was staying.

As soon as they opened the door, they were subjected to a knife attack by Altan.

The police officer fell to the ground after being wounded by a knife blow.

Altan took the police officer's service weapon.

He fired three shots each at both the police officer lying on the ground and his colleague who had gone out into the hallway to ask for help. Our two police officers were martyred.

Altan went out into the street with the gun and started running.

He fired left and right.

A police patrol that heard the gunshots captured Altan by shooting him in the leg.

Citizens wanted to lynch Altan. The police took Altan from the hands of the crowd and took him away.

It is stated that Altan gave himself an ISIS appearance and grew his hair and beard.

At the hospital, cables were found on his body. It is thought that he placed the cable to make himself look like a suicide bomber.
