Behzat Ç. gives the green light: First statement from CHP's Etimesgut candidate Erdal Beşikçioğlu! Response to crisis claims with Mansur Yavaş

The CHP has nominated actor Erdal Beşikçioğlu, who is etched in memory for his role as the character Behzat Ç., as its mayoral candidate for the Etimesgut district of Ankara.

Speaking about his candidacy for the first time, Beşikçioğlu said, "We will write the script ourselves." Beşikçioğlu also responded to claims that Mansur Yavaş had opposed his candidacy.

Erdal Beşikçioğlu stated, "I have not experienced what I saw on television. Mayor Mansur cannot have a problem with me, and I cannot have a problem with Mayor Mansur. But I said to myself for the first time, so this is what politics is like. We, as two 'Angaralı' (Ankarans), will do great things for Ankara."

Beşikçioğlu's statements are as follows;

"For about 30 years, I have been intertwined with art. Now, the only change is that we will call the citizens, whom I previously called the audience, voters. That is the only change. But I have already been involved in art with them for about 30-40 years. Because of the 'Vali' (Governor) role, they had expressed their complaints to me. I think a tremendous wind will blow in Etimesgut with the young population that believes in realizing this through a common mind.

In the past, we used to read scripts and develop characters, but I think from this moment on, we will write the script ourselves. That is my goal. I think that is also what is expected."

IS THERE A CRISIS WITH MANSUR YAVAŞ?

We have always been in contact with Mr. Mansur. Mayor Mansur holds a very special place for me. Therefore, he is a very valuable name. I believe he thinks the same of me. I have not experienced the situations I watched on television.

I could never have a problem with my Mayor Mansur. And Mayor Mansur could never have a problem with me. We are both 'Angaralı', and we, as two 'Angaralı', will do great things for this Ankara."

When asked if the Behzat Ç. series would continue, Beşikçioğlu replied, "If I don't continue the series, they won't vote for me." This response from Beşikçioğlu caused laughter in the room.
